VISION: Working together to prevent or reduce substance abuse in Garner youth.
MISSION: Youth and adults working together to build a healthy community for healthy youth. | |
| |
| On Healthy Youth | Substance abuse among adults and youth in the Garner-Hayfield community
results in risky behavior, lost productivity, poor school performance, and other negative outcomes. Garner Asset Project is
a collaborative effort that provides support and leadership to numerous community sectors, including schools, churches, businesses,
government, parents, and others. By working together
to reduce substance abuse, we avoid duplication of services and resources, while uniting individuals who share common concerns. GAP is a key community resource to promote community assesment and planning.
The services and supports provided by GAP helps the community to combine resources and use strategies that are proven effective.
The Garner Asset Project is helping to create a healthy community where all children, adults and families can thrive. |
